Painted Leaf Stamps

This was a super fun and simple project for my preschoolers. We went on our weekly nature hike and collected leaves and ferns. I took this opportunity to teach them how to mix colors. One of my students is very enthusiastic about color combinations but she was often making brown. So we got intentional here and mixed colors on purpose to make the desired outcome.

They came out beautiful! I’m so proud of their creativity and color mixing skills.

Lessons: Nature, Fall, Art; Medium painting, sketchbooking. Color Theory and design, color mixing. Manual dexterity, fine motor skills.
