Fine Arts Family Workshop

Students will learn how to create art independently and incorporate daily activities from their own environments into their artistic vision using various artistic mediums such as; pencils, colored pencils, crayons, markers, paints, collaging, and typography.

8 Week Course

Self Paced Online Classroom with Live Lessons each Saturday’s at 10am.

Starts Week of September 10th

Families can participate in the workshop together. Great for children 6-10.


Suggested Supplies Needed:

Week 1: Multimedia Sketchbook. Crayons and Markers.
Week 2: Pencils, Sketchbook, Eraser, Pencil Sharpener.
Week 3: Colored Pencils
Week 4: Collage Materials: Magazine clippings of food, food wrappers, food stickers or stamps. Scissors, Glue, or Stamps or Stickers.
Week 5: Tempura or Acrylic Paint; Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple, Black, White. Paint Pallet or Pallet Paper.
Week 6: Words and Letters (Children can draw these, cut them out of magazines, or use letter stickers).
Week 7: Blank Books (Just type in Blank Books on Amazon there are plenty of inexpensive options. Your learner can also make his own book out of things around the house).
Week 8: Savage Seamless Paper also on Amazon or any larger sized paper that can be taped to the wall or floor. Nontoxic Finger Paints. Organic options are available on Amazon if your child has allergies. Students can also use paints from Week 5 and paintbrushes.

Please do not get too hung up on the supplies. If you do not have access to any of the supplies please do not feel like you have to spend a lot of money on them. A lot of these things can be found around the house. An art student could fill an entire sketchbook using nothing but a pencil or a black marker.
